Technical Reference: Adobe Acrobat Crashes with Google Updater

We often run into situations where Adobe Acrobat crashes.  Adobe would crash for some unknown reason when performing various functions, saving, printing, digital signatures, etc.

Normally, we would perform an uninstall / reinstall and ensure to download all available patches.  With Adobe Acrobat Professional or Standard, this can take more an hour.

One sure thing to check is if Google Updater is running in Task Manager.

Google Updater Service (gusvc) - Google - C:\Program Files\Google\Common\Google Updater\GoogleUpdaterService.exe

If so, End Task, and see if your Adobe problems go away.

If they do, use regedit or HiJackThis to remove it from starting with the PC.
